A solenoid-driven metering pump uses an electromagnet as the driving power. When energized, the electromagnet attracts the solenoid plunger, generating a reciprocating motion moving the diaphragm to deliver a pre-determined amount of fluid.
This is suitable when a wider control band of discharge volume is required or when complex control using external signals is required.
The Solenoid-Driven Metering Pumps by Tacmina have a maximum of 300 strokes per minute which means it is two to four times faster than motor-driven metering pumps and is capable of operation at a rate of once per minute. It has an embedded controller and can be programmed to operate in a variety of ways.
PZ model is a small capacity pump with manual settings
PW models are available in standard, high viscosity, and boiler and these small capacity pumps have a digital input and output and offer options for analog input and timer control.
